Las Vegas Half

First meeting with Sweat365 team was awesome.  Thanks Sweat365! for this forum, dinner, training advice and support.

Ran really hard, wanted to go out fast and see if i could hold onto a good time.  Ran the first 6 miles feeling great, the next 4 feeling pretty decent, the next one coming to terms with the truth,  I was running out of gas, the next 2 miles was talking myself into not blowing a good  race.  I walked through the aid stations, something I usually avoid.  Overall, I am very pleased with my results as my training has been lame.  I feel really focused now and running hard during this race was an important part of me moving forward to the Western States 100.

12 Miles

This was a difficult run for me.  This run run was more miles than I did total last month.

I have a attempted murder warrant out for Brad (zappoman), I told him I was in no condition to run with him.  I look at it as community service as I kept him slow enough for him to negative split his 24 miles, which I believe was his goal. 

Vegas should be interesting, all time goals are under serious reconsideration

Was supposed to be a long slow day, but Zappoman and I had a bit more fun with it.  He continued on for another 8, it got a breve latte and went to my daughter’s soccer game.  Can’t wait to run with him again in 2 weeks!

Capture the Flag

Played capture the flag with my cross country team.  Lots of sprinting and maneuvering around 13 and 14 year old kids determined to “tag” coach!  Lots of fun and a pretty good workout.

Las Vegas Here I Come!

I just signed up for the Las Vegas Half Marathon!

I just registered as part of the Sweat365 Team-training for the Las Vegas Half Marathon. I’ve run 3 half marathons already. My half marathon PR is 1:36:05.

My goals for this event are: Faster than 1:36:05

Last day in Cancun

After spending a week in the Mayan Riveria we are back to reality.

I ran about 3.5 miles on the beach, it was 90 degrees and very very humid.  I actually ran 3 or 4 times while in Mexico!!

While I was away my Cross Country team had a meet and my boys team won with my top 3 runners finishing 1-2-3.  My top 8th grade girl also won !!
