So it’s already December

How can it be? I tried to launch a running comeback last month as the time is short to begin the real training for the Western States 100. The sad truth is that I am still not recovered. I am on my way to Mexico for a week, this time for pleasure not work. Upon my return I will consult with some physicians again and get a plan in place to heal and train. If this is not handled in the next 4 weeks the possibility of not running next summer is very real and pains me deeply.

Where has the time gone? I know I feel the same way about training for IMCDA! I still have this nagging foot injury (PF). It’s your knee, right? Meniscus, or something else? I had a meniscus tear a few years ago that docs told me needed surgery, but I opted for 6 weeks of PT and am 98% good as new! I’m still up for a run sometime!
Have a great time in Mexico and heal up!

I am sorry to hear that, I can feel your pain as I had to sit out for my first marathon and I am just slowing coming back to training for my “next first marathon”. The doubt in my mind sometimes is very loud and makes me sad. All you can do is well your body into positive healing mode, a vacation certainly will help!!! Try to focus on resting and healing and let your body lead the way. Have a great time, try not to think about it too much. Check in when you get back.
