Bridle Trails 30K
June 28th, 2008 , 8:00 am by Michelle Halsne
Ran hard and finished in 3rd place overall. The course was a 10k loop that we ran 3 times. On the first loop I missed a turn that had been well marked before the race began, but was removed either maliciously or accidentally from the course. The first place woman made the turn, she won by over 11 minutes, she would have won either way as the mistake at most cost me 4 minutes.
I am plenty sore this afternoon! Happy to get on the trail today!

Oh no darlin’! I’m so sorry to hear that the Western States 100 was cancelled!
My heart goes out to you! But awesome job getting right back up and kicking some ass in a 30K! You go girl! You are an ultra runner with or without that stinkin’ race!
Would love to run with you sometime after I recover from my race next weekend!

Also glad to see a new race on your sidebar! I’m so happy you’re back to pounding out the miles.
Let’s run together… but I have to warn you… I am slow slow slow and out of shape!
I barely made it through 10 miles at 9:02/mile pace this morning. Sad indeed!

Glad to hear you had fun!
