Caught playing Hookie

April 30th, 2008 , 2:00 pm by Michelle Halsne

It was such a nice day out today, Sunny and 50 degrees (yes that’s a nice day in the Northwest) that I was compelled to drive down to Seattle and run around Greenlake.  Usually on the last day of the month I work to close out the month’s sales strong.  Today was no different I called on some of my customers knowing their buying patterns and seeing if I could get some sales on the board.

I want to grow my business as I also train for this race.  Or more realistically not go backwards.

Since I made some excellent progress this morning working the phones and getting one key order, I decided I would reward myself with a midday run.  I put on my gear and headed for the lake.  As I pulled into the parking lot and got ready to run my phone rang.  It was one of the manufacturer representatives I do business for here in Washington.  I did not lie and said ”I quit the day early and i’m going out for a run in the sun.”   No worries….He had just got off the golf course.  It has been a really good month for my running and business and it ended perfectly with a midday run around the lake.
